Investigation and Influencing Factors on the Anxiety Status of 630 Navy Serviceman During Long Voyage
Objective To investigate the anxiety status and influencing factors of Navy serviceman during long voy-age.Methods A total of 740 Navy serviceman served on the ship were selected as the subjects by random cluster sam-pling method. The investigation of their anxiety status and influencing factors was assessed by the self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),fatigue scale 14(FS-14),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),TCM constitution scale and the self-designed basic situation questionnaire. Results A total of 630 valid questionnaires were collected. Before the voyage,15 days and 30 days after voyage, the incidence of anxiety of the Navy serviceman were 10.16%(64/630),17.62%(111/630),15.08%(95/630)respectively,the SAS scores were(38.13±9.36),(40.98±9.74)and(39.46±9.42)respectively,and the differences were statistically significant(F=14.183,P<0.01);and the SAS scores of each stage were signifi-cantly different compared with the domestic norm(t=17.640,t=23.660,t=20.410 respectively, all P<0.01).There was a correlation between anxiety and TCM constitution, sleep status, fatigue status and other factors among the Navy serviceman during a long voyage, among them, constitutional types like blood-stasis,Qi-stagnation,and sleep disorders, mental fatigue and other factors might be independent risk factors for anxiety, and peace constitution was protective factor for anxiety(all P<0.05).Conclusion There are high distribution of anxiety status in Navy serviceman during long voyage. It is necessary to improve the sub-health states such as sleep and fatigue and regulate the constitution of tradition-al Chinese medicine to improve the physical and mental health of the Navy servicemen during long voyage.
