Study on the Relationship Between Psychological Well-being,Grit,Character Strengths and Course Scores of Military Acade-my Students
Objective To explore the current situation of well-being among military academy students and its rela-tionship with course scores,and provide new ideas and intervention measures for curriculum teaching.Methods In No-vember 2023,a convenient sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 280 students from the 2022 five-year and eight-year undergraduates at a military academy.Based on the scores from the final clinical medicine course exams,the demographic differences in psychological well-being,grit,character strengths and the course scores were com-pared.Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the influencing factors of course scores.Results The scores of well-being,character strengths and grit of military academy students were significantly positively correlated with the course scores(P<0.001).The total score of well-being had a positive predictive effect on the course scores(β=0.345,P<0.001),environment master,personal growth,interpersonal strength,temperance strength and perseverance of effort had a positive predictive effect on course scores(β=0.209,P=0.018;β=0.193,P=0.029;β=0.210,P=0.006;β=0.152,P=0.048;β=0.284,P<0.001).Conclusion The higher the psychological well-being,character strengths and grit of military academy students,the higher course scores.The teaching of military academy courses should focus on cultivating students'psychological well-being,especially improving students'ability for environ-ment control and personal growth.
