Research on the Relationship between Algorithmic Control and Innovation Behaviors——the Mediating Effect Based on Perceived Overqualification
With the growth of the gig economy,algorithmic control based on online labor platforms is becoming more common,making it easier for gig workers to get paid for completing given tasks.This study empirically ex-amines the mechanism and boundary conditions of algorithm control on innovation behaviors of gig workers from the perspective of organizational behavior through the analysis of 233 sample data.The results show that the algo-rithm control negatively affects the innovation behaviors of gig workers;the perceived overqualification plays a mediating role in the relationship between algorithm control and innovation behavior;the perceived organizational support plays a moderating role between the perceived overqualification and the innovation behaviors.It is sugges-ted that enterprises should optimize the management mode in management practice,and pay attention to the im-provement of employees'sense of organizational support and digital ability to stimulate employees'innovation be-haviors.
