Researchon the Construction of Engineering Majors in Local Colleges and Universities in the Context of Emerging Engineering
In the context of new engineering construction,integrating engineering education concepts into various facets of professional development plays a pivotal role in fostering the connotative growth of local universities.En-gineering education should not only focus on the development of students'professional skills,but also cultivate their good character and values.By analyzing the development status of engineering education at home and a-broad,this paper analyzes and summarizes the key problems facing the construction of engineering major in local colleges and universities:the mismatch between talent training and social demand,the lack of competitiveness in talent training quality,the lack of innovative practice environment and the lack of long-term mechanism of school-enterprise cooperation;On the basis of clarifying the traditional engineering education model and characteristics,this paper analyzes in detail the causes of the problems encountered in the construction of engineering majors in local universities in the process of new engineering construction,such as the old-fashioned teaching concept,the unclear orientation of professional construction objectives,the lack of teaching staff construction and the lack of depth of school-enterprise cooperation.Then,some constructive measures are put forward:strengthening the con-struction of university culture and the cultivation of university spirit,building an innovative multi-disciplinary cross-training platform,actively implementing the OBE education concept,continuously promoting the construc-tion of production-education collaborative platform,and expanding the field of international cooperation and ex-change.
