Objective In order to explore the kinematic characteristics and dynamic force situations of elliptical gear transmission.Methods The influence of eccentricity on kinematics parameters was studied on the basis of kinemat-ics analysis and calculation.Under the working condition of considering the inertia force caused by the elliptical gear pair with the rotating axis at the focal point,the force on the teeth of the driven wheel during the transmission process and the reaction force of the rotating shaft support were calculated and analyzed.Finally,based on the en-velope method,a three-dimensional model of the elliptical gear was established and imported into Adams for mo-tion and dynamic force simulation.Results The simulation results were consistent with the theoretical calculation analysis,thereby verifying the correctness of the analysis and calculation.Conclusion The research results on the kinematic characteristics and dynamic forces of elliptical gears provide theoretical reference for the design and en-gineering application for elliptical gear transmission.
