Numerical Simulation Analysis of Triaxial Tests Based on Discrete Element Method
Based on the idea of the discrete element method, the numerical simulation of the triaxial test was realized by using the Fish programming language in PFC software. The calibration of the soil micro-parameter and the macro-parameter is realized. For the soil mass which is 2 degrees to 30 degrees of internal friction angle, the corresponding micro-parameter can be found in the numerical simulation results. It is concluded that the micro friction coefficient, the normal bond strength and shear bond strength will affect the peak strength of the strain, and the micro friction coefficient is positively correlated with the internal friction angle, and is negatively correlated with the bond strength.Based on the numerical simulation results, two formulas are presented, one is the relationship between the bond strength and the micro friction coefficient, and the other is the relationship between the internal friction angle and the micro friction coefficient. The accuracy and feasibility of the fitting formula were verified using indoor test results.
