Effect of Different Concentrations Brassinolide on the Growth of Flemingia philippinensis Seedings
[Objective]This study is conducted to explicit regulation effect of brassinolide(BR)on Flemingia philippinensis seedings so as to provide technical support for the standardized cultivation of Flemingia philippinensis.[Method]The Flemingia philippinensis seedlings were used as the test material, and a single factor completely randomized block design was conducted to determine the effect of four treat-ments of different BR contents(CK:0 mg/L,T1:0.025 mg/L,T2:0.033 mg/L,T3:0.05 mg/L)on agricultural characteristics, biomass, the ratio of root to shoot, leaf areas and the specific leaf weight per unit area.[Result]The research results indicated that the application of BR showed significant positive effects on the increasing of the plant height, leaf number, the branch number and diameter of main stem, the length and diameter of main root, the dry matter weight and leaf area per plant of seedlings, but showed negative effects on decreasing of the ratio of root to shoot and the specific leaf weight per unit area at early and middle stages of seedling growth. The effect of low BR content treatment(T1)was signifi-cantly better than that of T2 and T1.At 35 days after sproying BR,compared to the CK treatment, the T1 treatment increased the plant height and the branch number of main stem by 33.40%and 48.8%,the main stem diameter and the main root diameter by 22.55%,22.45%;The leaf area and biomass per plant by 79.45%and 82.40%,respectively,and the main root length increased by 12.27%.However,there was no significant difference in the leaf numbers among BR treatments, and no significant difference at later stages of seedling growth was observed in the specific leaf weight per unit area between BR treat-ments and CK.[Conclusion]The application of BR has a significant effect on the individual growth per-formance of the seedlings, and the effect from the T1 treatment of 0.025 mg/L BR is the best among all BR treatments.
