Investor Sentiment and the Development of Artificial Intelligence Have an Impact on the High-quality Development of Enterprises Mechanism Research
This study aims to explore the mechanism of investor sentiment and the development of artificial intelligence on the high-quality development of enterprises.A sample of 4738 Chinese listed companies from 2011 to 2022 was selected as the research sample,and panel data analysis was used for empirical research.Research has found that:(1)the development of artificial intelligence significantly promotes high-quality development of enterprises;(2)Investor sentiment has a negative impact on the high-quality development of enterprises;(3)Research and development investment plays a significant mediating role between the development of artificial intelligence and the high-quality development of enterprises;(4)The scale of enterprises plays a significant moderating role between the development of artificial intelligence and the high-quality development of enterprises;(5)There is heterogeneity in the relationship between the development of artificial intelligence and the high-quality development of state-owned enterprises and non-state-owned enterprises,as well as between loss making and profitable enterprises.The results of this study provide a new perspective for understanding the influencing factors of high-quality development of enterprises in the era of artificial intelligence,and provide empirical evidence for formulating relevant policies and enterprise development strategies.Future research can further explore the long-term impact of artificial intelligence development and its interaction with other business characteristics.
