Research on the Mechanism of Agriculture and Tourism Integration Policy on Tourism Economic Growth under the Background of Rural Revitalization
Agro-tourism integration is the interpenetration,integration and restructuring of modern agriculture and tourism,which is a new engine of tourism economic growth and an important breakthrough to realize rural revitalization.Using the panel data of 280 prefecture-level cities in China from 2000 to 2020,we construct a generalized double-difference model to empirically analyze the impact of agro-tourism integration policies on tourism economic growth,and explore its intrinsic mechanism of action in depth.The results show that:1)the policy of agricultural and tourism integration has a significant promotion effect on tourism economic growth,and the conclusion still holds after the empirical tests of parallel trend test,policy exogeneity and alternative indicator test.2)Agricultural tourism integration policy can not only have a direct impact on tourism economic growth,but also through industrial agglomeration,industrial structure optimization and upgrading,scientific and technological innovation,etc.,to promote tourism economic development,the degree of influence in order of industrial structure optimization and upgrading＞industrial agglomeration＞scientific and technological innovation.3)The impact of agricultural and tourism integration policies on tourism economic growth is characterized by regional heterogeneity,manifesting a gradient decreasing pattern of'East＞Central＞Northeast＞West'.
