Research on the Impact of Financial Structure and Innovation Activities on High-quality Economic Development in the Yellow River Basin
Based on the data of provinces in the Yellow River Basin from 2003 to 2023,this paper explores the relationship between financial structure,innovation activities and high-quality economic development in the Yellow River Basin with the help of empirical models.The results show that the increasing proportion of indirect financing in the Yellow River Basin will have a negative impact on the high-quality economic development of the whole basin;The increasing proportion of indirect financing affects the high-quality development of basin economy mainly by inhibiting innovation activities;With the steady improvement of the quality level of regional economic development,the negative impact of the increase in the proportion of indirect financing will gradually weaken.In addition,the financial structure has a significant threshold effect on the quality of economic development in the Yellow River Basin.In view of this,the Yellow River Basin should accelerate the construction of a multi-level capital market and scientific and technological innovation system in order to promote high-quality economic development from both economic fundamentals and social outcomes.
