Patent Analysis of Medium and Long Range Iris Recognition
[Purposes]Medium and long distance iris recognition is a highly reliable and stable biometric identification technology.By analyzing the patents related to medium and long distance iris recognition,the development trends of this technology can be determined.[Methods]The application trend of me-dium and long distance iris recognition patents and technical expertise were analyzed.[Findings]At present,medium and long distance iris recognition is in the stage of technological growth.Domestic com-panies,represented by Chinese Academy of Sciences-incubated enterprises,have a higher market share in iris recognition products compared to foreign products,positioning themselves at the forefront of the in-dustry chain.[Conclusions]China has strong research and development capabilities and a high aware-ness of patent protection in the field of medium and long distance iris recognition.In the subsequent de-velopment of the industry,attention should be focused on industry cultivation and investment promotion,key technologies,and application security.
