Characteristics of Groundwater Chemical Evolution in the ChaoHua Section of Shuangji River Basin in Xinmi City
[Purposes]Groundwater is an important source of water for Chaohua Town in Xinmi City, and its hydrochemical composition directly affects the water safety and quality of life of residents.[Methods]In order to search the historical evolution characteristics of karst groundwater chemical types in the Chaohua section of the Shuangji River Basin in Xinmi City, this article collected groundwater chemical data from the 1960s,1980s,and 2021,and conducted a comparative analysis of the historical evolution characteristics of groundwater chemical components.[Findings]The results indicate that:The chemical types of karst groundwater in the study area are mainly HCO3-Ca type and HCO3-Ca·Mg type water. And the types have not changed over the years.Compared to the previous century, the overall TDS level in the study area increased in 2021,with an increase in the content of Na+ and SO42-in local karst ground-water and an increase in the types of groundwater chemical types.[Conclusions]The changes in the chemical composition of karst water are closely related to natural conditions such as surface water infil-tration,as well as human impacts such as coal mining and goaf formation.Blocking pollution channels and regular water quality monitoring are important measures to protect karst groundwater.
