Temporal and Spatial Changes and Characteristics Analysis of Human Activity Intensity in Henan Province from 1980 to 2020
[Purposes]The study is based on multi-temporal thematic data of land use/land cover, aiming to explore and analyze the temporal and spatial variations of human activity intensity in Henan Province,China from 1980 to 2020.[Methods]Utilizing the land surface human activity intensity model, this study calculates the human activity intensity in Henan Province during different periods.Subsequently, based on global autocorrelation and local autocorrelation, the spatial and temporal variation characteristics of human activity intensity in Henan Province in 40 years were analyzed.[Findings]In 2020,the land use/land cover types in Henan Province were primarily farmland land and forest land, accounting for 64.85%and 16.58%of the total area, respectively.Over the course of forty years, the area of construction land has significantly increased by 54.17%,while forest and water areas have increased by 1.65%and 3.6%,respectively.Conversely,the remaining land classes have experienced a decrease, with farmland, unused land, and grassland decreasing by 5 668.93 km2,134.85 km2,and 1 174.27 km2,respectively.The hu-man activity intensity in Henan Province was 22.09%in 1980 and has reached 25.46%in 2020.[Con-clusions]From 1980 to 2020,the spatial aggregation characteristics of human activity intensity in Henan Province were significant, displaying an eastern high-western low and northern high-southern low distribution pattern.Areas with lower fluctuations in human activity intensity were primarily concen-trated in regions such as the western mountains, northern mountains, and southern mountains of Henan. On the other hand, regions exhibiting higher fluctuations were concentrated in the central and eastern parts of Henan Province, centered around Zhengzhou.
