The Use of the Nine-Screen Method in TRIZ Theory and the Analysis of Common Problems
[Purposes]This paper presents the analysis and research of the problems that the content of the nine-screen method is too simple and the basic rules of using it are not clear in many TRIZ teaching materials,monographs and papers published in China,aiming to provide reference for students in col-leges and universities and applicants of corporate TRIZ innovation methods.[Methods]Based on a brief introduction of the role of the nine-screen method and related concepts,this paper systematically elabo-rates the basic rules of the nine-screen method through the specific description of the use of the nine-screen method and the generalization and analysis of the common problems in the use of the nine-screen method.[Findings]The main forms,drawing methods and points of use of the nine-screen diagram are clarified,and four kinds of errors are summarized,such as fail to meet the use of the main points,form er-ror,lack of correspondence,and inconsistency of expression with essence.[Conclusions]The nine-screen method plays an important role in broadening the idea of problem solving,and it is relatively easy for beginners to get started,but various problems often occur in the use of the method,which requires us-ers to deepen their understanding and strengthen their application in practice in order to better utilize the role of the nine-screen method.
