Research on Hybrid Energy Storage Control Strategy for Suppressing Wind and Solar Power Fluctuations in Water Transmission Projects
[Purposes]In water transmission projects, new energy sources such as wind power and photo-voltaics pose significant challenges and potential risks to the reliable operation of power quality due to their instability when directly connected to the power grid.In order to suppress the fluctuation of wind and solar power in water transmission projects,it is necessary to conduct research on this issue.[Meth-ods]A hybrid energy storage control strategy based on fuzzy control is proposed. This strategy utilizes both energy-based and power-based energy storage to mitigate power fluctuations across different time scales.[Findings]By considering the trends in wind and solar power fluctuations along with the state of charge of the energy storage, they serve as inputs to the fuzzy controller, regulating the outputs of power-based and energy-based energy storage systems.Furthermore,it extensively considers the consistency of energy storage batteries, effectively ensuring the cyclic lifespan of these batteries.[Conclusions]Valida-tion through case studies demonstrates the efficacy of the hybrid energy storage control strategy in miti-gating wind and solar power fluctuations, optimizing the advantages of hybrid battery energy storage sys-tems,reducing the frequency of energy-based storage usage, and maximizing overall value.
