Aging and Rheological Properties of Crumb Rubber and Natural Rub-ber Latex Modified Asphalt
[Purposes]This paper aims to study the aging resistance and rheological properties of crumb rubber and natural rubber latex modified asphalt.[Methods]Natural rubber(NR)latex and crumb rub-ber(CR)were used to prepare rubber asphalt,and the conventional and rheological properties of matrix asphalt and rubber modified asphalt before and after aging were compared and analyzed by penetration,softening point,ductility,and dynamic shear rheological tests.[Findings]The results show that the addi-tion of CR and NR latex reduces the penetration grade of rubber asphalt,and increases the softening point and ductility of rubber powder asphalt.Compared with conventional asphalt,when the CR content reaches 8%or the NR latex content reaches 4%,the complex modulus and anti-rutting performance of rubber asphalt are significantly improved.[Conclusions]The addition of CR and NR latex can improve the overall performance of modified asphalt and improve the durability of asphalt pavement.
