Seismic Stability of Tunnel Slope in Cold Region Under Different Freeze-Thaw State
[Purposes]This paper aims to study the stability of the side slope of the tunnel entrance in the cold region of Northwest China and the variation of its seasonal temperature effect.A fully coupled math-ematical model of water and heat of the tunnel slope in the cold region was established.[Methods]Based on the simulation analysis of the change of freeze-thaw environment, the numerical simulation of its wa-ter and heat environment and stability was carried out.[Findings]The results show that the stability of the tunnel slope in the cold region is related to the freeze-thaw state of the soil. The free surface soil is obviously affected by the ambient temperature, while the inner soil temperature does not change signifi-cantly.[Conclusions]When the temperature decreases, the thickness of the frozen layer of the soil in-creases,and the stability of the slope is better. In the warm season, the freeze-thaw layer melts, and the failure slip surface of the uphill slope extends almost parallel to the slope surface, which is prone to slump disaster.
