Dynamic Response Analysis of HDC Arc Plug-in Bridge Expansion Joint Under Traffic Load
[Purposes]This paper aims to study the stress state of HDC arc on the expansion joint of a plug-in bridge under vehicle load.[Methods]The 3D numerical model of HDC arc splice bridge expan-sion joint was established by ABAQUS finite element software, and the mechanical response such as ver-tical displacement, flexural and tensile stress of expansion device and flexural and tensile stress of con-crete in anchorage area were compared and analyzed under different loads.[Findings]The effect of verti-cal static load on the mechanical response of HDC arc on the plug-in bridge expansion device and the concrete in the anchorage area is greater than that of bidirectional static load on the mechanical response of HDC arc on the plug-in bridge expansion device and the concrete in the anchorage area, and the HDC arc does not damage the plug-in bridge expansion device and the concrete in the anchorage area under the two types of vehicle loads.[Conclusions]The normal operation of HDC arc bridge expansion joint is not affected by not welding HDC arc bridge expansion device or reducing welding.
