Spatial-temporal Characteristics Analysis of China's Energy Carbon Emissions
[Purposes]The article analysed the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of energy carbon emissions in China using Chinese energy consumption statistics.[Methods]The total carbon emissions of 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government in China for the 20 years from 2000 to 2019 are estimated, the relevant distribution charts are drawn, the spatial and temporal characteristics are analyzed, and reasonable suggestions are made.[Findings]From 2000 to 2019,China's total carbon emissions grew by about 5.84 billion tons, with an average annual growth rate of about 22.73%,and there are different correlations between the degree of urbanization in different provinces and carbon emissions, respectively, and China's reduction in the share of coal energy consumption and carbon emissions show a pattern of tilting from the coast to the inland, and from the de-veloped regions to the backward regions.[Conclusions]This paper suggests increasing investment in re-search and development of energy-saving technologies, improving energy efficiency, rationalizing the structure of energy consumption, and encouraging garbage classification, afforestation and other behav-iors that conserve resources and protect the environment.
