Statistical Analysis of Patent Information in Universities Based on incoPat—A Case Study of Guilin University of Electronic Technology
[Purposes]This paper aims to strengthen the management of patent information in universities,promote the transformation of patent achievements,enhance scientific and technological innovation capa-bilities,and promote economic development.[Methods]Taking Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology as the research topic and combining with information metrology methods,the incoPat patent analysis system was used to statistically analyze the patents included in the incoPat patent analy-sis system from 2003 to 2022.[Findings]The patent work of the school is in line with its development advantages in the field of electronic information science,but there are problems such as low patent effec-tiveness rate,low conversion rate of patent achievements,and insufficient patent awards.[Conclusions]This paper provides suggestions and references for the layout of patents and the transformation of patent achievements in universities from five aspects:improving the quality of patent writing,stimulating re-searchers' motivation for patent transformation,strengthening cooperation and promotion with enter-prises,strengthening the cultivation of patent transformation talents,and improving the evaluation system.
