The Correlation Between Chemical Oxygen Demand(COD)And Tur-bidity in Sewage
[Purposes]The relationship between chemical oxygen demand(COD)and turbidity in the efflu-ent of domestic sewage treatment station in an oil production management area was studied to judge the quality of sewage in a convenient and rapid way,so as to provide management basis for the operators of domestic sewage treatment station in the oil production management area.[Methods]16 water samples taken at the exit of domestic sewage treatment station in the oil production management area on different dates in August,2023 were tested and analyzed with a rapid analyzer, and the chemical oxygen demand and turbidity of each water sample were determined respectively.[Findings]The results showed that there was a linear positive correlation between chemical oxygen demand and turbidity in the discharge water of domestic sewage treatment station in the oil production management area, and the linear equa-tion was y=0.247 1x-4.848 8,which linear regression coefficient R2=0.931 5(namely chemical oxygen demand and turbidity have a high correlation).[Conclusions]The turbidity can be easily measured to characterize the chemical oxygen demand in the effluent of the domestic sewage treatment station in the oil production management area.
