Application of Stereographic Projection in the Assessment of Geological Hazards in Rocky Slope of Expressway
[Purposes]The geological hazard risk assessment of rocky slope along the expressway is to conduct a detailed investigation and analysis of the geological conditions in the geological hazard-prone area before the deep road cutting construction of the rocky slope along the expressway. The purpose is to evaluate the danger level of geological hazards that may be triggered or suffered during the construction process and after the completion of the project,so as to avoid or mitigate the losses caused by geological hazards and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.[Methods]This article takes two rocky slopes along the proposed Mianxi Expressway from Xichuan to Henan-Hubei provincial boundary as the research objects, analyzes and discusses the application of the stereographic projection in the geological hazard risk assessment of rocky slope along the expressway, conducts geological hazard status, prediction and comprehensive assessment of the two rocky slopes, and proposes corresponding disposal measures.[Findings]The research results show that the stereographic projection can intuitively and qualitatively predict the stable state of the slope after excavation, providing a basis for geological hazard risk assess-ment and governance measures.[Conclusions]In the geological hazard assessment of rocky slope along the expressway, the application of stereographic projection provides a scientific basis for engineering con-struction,ensuring the safe and stable progress of the project, and providing guidance for geological haz-ard prevention and control work.
