Antibacterial Property of Chlorhexidine Acetate/Graphene Oxide Composite
[Purposes]This paper aimed to investigate the antibacterial property of chlorhexidine acetate/graphene oxide composite.[Methods]Graphene oxide was prepared using Brodie method.Subsequently, chlorhexidine acetate/graphene oxide composite was synthesized by intercalation modification method. The structure of the composite was characterized using XRD and FTIR,and the antibacterial property of the composite was evaluated through in vitro antibacterial experiment.[Findings]Compared with the an-tibacterial rate of graphene oxide against escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, the antibacterial rate of the composite against escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus increased by ca.11.5 and 7.7 times, respectively.[Conclusions]The introduction of chlorhexidine acetate could significantly improve the antibacterial activity of graphene oxide.
