[Purposes]This paper explores patent information in Chongqing's high-end equipment manu-facturing industry to provide reference for its high-quality development.[Methods]By analyzing the overall region,segmented industries,and innovative entities of Chongqing's high-end equipment manu-facturing industry,the competitive situation in the field of high-end equipment manufacturing was clari-fied,and corresponding suggestions for its future development were provided.[Findings]The results showed that the lack of patents for core technologies and relatively weak awareness of patent operation are the main factors affecting the comprehensive innovation strength of Chongqing's high-end equipment manufacturing industry.[Conclusions]In the future,high-end equipment manufacturing industry in Chongqing needs to focus on local demand,further strengthen the core role of innovation in key indus-trial chains,actively participate in technology integration and upgrading,and fully leverage the role of en-terprises as the driving force in industrial innovation and development.
