Research on Mixed Reality-Based Auxiliary Assembly System for Manufacturing Processes
[Purposes]To address the phenomena of information redundancy and complex abstraction in traditional assembly operation modes,a Mixed Reality(MR)assisted assembly technology driven by an assembly process model is proposed to enhance the assembly efficiency and quality of mechanical prod-ucts.[Methods]This paper introduces an enhanced assembly process information model, which inte-grates processes such as pre-assembly process planning, assembly measurement, and assembly guid-ance.In order to achieve effective connectivity between the process design system and the MR-assisted assembly system,an efficient process editing method tailored for MR-assisted assembly is proposed,re-alizing the interconnection and interoperability between MR devices and on-site measurement equip-ment.[Findings]The results indicate that the system successfully integrates data flows across all stages of the assembly process, effectively addressing issues present in traditional assembly operation modes,re-ducing error rates and rework time, and enhancing assembly efficiency by 35%.[Conclusions]The pro-posed MR assisted assembly technology driven by the assembly process model shortens the time required for assembly and debugging, improves the assembly efficiency and quality of mechanical products, and provides strong technical support for customized and short-cycle production of mechanical products.
