Emotional Crisis and Adjustment of Youth Group:A Critical Discourse Analysis of Online"Crazy Writing"
In the era of digital media, young people as digital natives show distinctiveness in their emotional expression with digitization, creativity, and initiative. In recent years, young people have engaged in a form of literature called"crazy writing"to indulge in emotional writing and social expression. The online dissemination of these negative emotions blurs the boundaries between identity and community information, treating the intermediary"middle ground"as a carnival-like context that emphasizes emotions and states rather than clear meaning or objects, giving an overall sense of"speaking into thin air".The accumulation of emotions and the expression through craziness among young people are direct manifestations of contra-dictions,repression under traditional norms, pressure and anxiety in pursuit of excellence. At the same time, the emergence of"crazy writing"demonstrates innovation in contemporary youth's ways to regulate emotions by external venting to relieve stressors and internal regulation for enhanced control. An open-minded and inclusive discourse environment also provides an elastic space for healing societal emotional rifts. The findings of the study help to further understand the internal logic of neg-ative emotion generation and transmission among young people, and also provide insights for effective emotion channeling at the individual and social levels.
