Xie Lingyun's Influence on Li Bai's from the Perspective of the Inheritance and Innovation of Vocabularies and Allusions
A survey of Li Bai's 112 poems collected in Li Taibai's Complete Works compild by Wang Qi reveals that the vocabulary and allusions used in Li Bai's poems are related to Xie Lingyun by means of inheritance and innovation.In terms of"inheritance",Li uses in his poems allusions used in Xie's poems,and Li uses in his poems the vocabulary created in Xie's scenario writing.In terms of"innovation",Li innovatively uses vocabulary used in Xie's lyrical and scenic descriptions,and Li alludes to Xie Lingyun's stories mentioned in his poems.From the above observations,we can see Li Bai's poems are in-fluenced by Xie Lingyun's poems.Firstly,Li quotes Xie's poetic vocabulary with innovations in the use of them.Secondly,Li draws inspiration from the diction and allusions in Xie's poetry and respects Xie's personal charm and poetic spirit.Thirdly,it creatively employs the context in Xie's poems and incorporates Li Bai's personal emotions.
