The Construction of Knowledge System for Convergent Journalism Narrative:A Perspective of Digital Narratology
As an emerging form, concept and practice of journalism in the context of media convergence, how convergent journalism tells stories has become a narrative proposition that urgently needs to be broken through.Compared with tradi-tional journalism narratives, the characteristics of convergent journalism such as integration,data-drivenness and interactivity fundamentally challenge or even subvert the structuralist principles relied upon by classical narrative theory. The theoretical foundation of convergent journalism storytelling is digital narrative studies, with its core issue being how media embeds into storytelling and forms a new landscape for presenting facts and constructing reality.Only by taking digital narra-tive studies as a theoretical perspective, based on the storytelling affordance of digital media technology, can we systemati-cally explore the semantic system of convergent journalism storytelling and the story world it opens from three dimensions:narrative theory, narrative language and narrative practice. This will enable us to fully outline the knowledge system of con-vergent journalism storytelling which includes a narrative theory system based on digital narration,a narrative language sys-tem focused on integration characteristics, and a narrative practice system aimed at rhetorical narration.
