The Not Encountering Meeting between Huang Juezi and Choson Envoys to Yenching and Its Literary Influence
The unique feature of the contact style between Chinese scholars and Korean diplomatic envoys deserves fur-ther exploring.This thesis strives to investigate the phenomenon that Huang Juezi,the renowned official of Qing Dynasty,had not been in Beijing for more than ten years while he was admired by Korean diplomatic envoys for long time.This thesis analyzes the not encountering meeting between Huang Juezi and Korean diplomatic envoys and its literary influence.Huang Juezi had received at least six groups of Korean diplomatic envoys during the period of being in Beijing.He entrusted his friends Zhang Binying and his son Huang Zhilin to receive Korean diplomatic envoys.Huang Juezi's literary theory that com-bines the"landscape"with"ghosts"by"poetic heart"gradually matured during the close interaction between Chinese and Korean scholars.The negative situations such as Huang Juezi's absence,no news and death triggered the Korean diplomatic envoys'writing of not encountering and deepened the emotion of literature of journey to Peking.
