Progresses of Preparation, Modification and Environmental Behavior of Biochar
Biochar is a kind of carbon-rich substances which are obtained from all biomass at the high-temper-ature pyrolysis under oxygen-limited conditions or hydrothermal carbonization .It has been widely applied in sus-tainable energy , agricultural soil improvement and environmental restoration .In this paper , we review the prepara-tion of biochar and different modification methods , soil quality improvement and pollutants removal .Furthermore , we discuss the core issues to be addressed in the prospective and further studies of biochar .This work should shed lights on the basic understanding of the theoretic foundation for the biochar research and its future applications .
