Sampling Analysis and Safety Risk Assessment of Pesticide Residues in Cowpea Sold in Hunan Market
To investigate pesticide residues in cowpea sold in Hunan province and assess the food safety risks,529 samples were collected from 14 cities and prefectures of Hunan province,22 commonly used pesticides were tested by chromatography(according to GB 23200.121-2021,NY/T 1725-2009,NY/T 761-2008,and GB/T 5009.103-2003),and risks were assessed using the food safety index method. The research results indicated that the unqualified rate of 529 samples was 4.91%.Among the 22 pesticides, only 4 pesticides were not detected, with a detection rate of 84.82%.The highest detection rate was for imidacloprid, which was 9.07%,and the highest un-qualified rate was for parathion, which was 2.65%.The food safety index showed that the average level of pesticide residues detected in cowpea is less than 1,the maximum values of Omethoate,Betamethasone,Triazophos,Flufipronil, and Methamycin Benzoate were all above 1.The overall risk of 22 pesticide residues in cowpea in Hu-nan province is relatively low and within an acceptable range.
