Measurement and Spatial-Temporal Evolution of the Coupling Coordination of Cultural and Tourism Industries in the Grand Canal Cultural Belt
Using panel data from 35 cities along the Grand Canal cultural belt from 2012 to 2021,this study applies a coupling coordination degree model to assess the integrated development of cultural and tourism industries.Additionally, the natural breakpoint method and local Moran's index are employed to explore the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics. The following results are concluded.(1)From 2012 to 2021,the cultural tourism industry's comprehensive development level experienced fluctuations but showed an overall upward trend, with the cultural industry lagging slightly behind tourism and significant disparities among cities.(2)The coupling coordina-tion level of culture and tourism across cities remained generally low, with most cities exhibiting moderate to severe imbalances.(3)A spatial pattern of"north-south hot and middle cold"emerged, characterized by a decreasing trend of coupling from the periphery to the central region.(4)Spatial-temporal correlation analysis identified a"small agglomeration and large dispersion"pattern, weak local spatial correlations, and limited spatial proximity and dependence, indicating that the core growth poles had not fully exerted their radiating effects.Based on these findings, this study proposes policy recommendations to promote the high-quality coordinated development of the cultural and tourism industries along the Grand Canal cultural belt.
