Study on the Correlation between the Spatial Pattern of Children's Public Service Facilities and the Population Distribution in Built-Up Areas of Changsha City
A comprehensive analysis of the spatial layout of children's public service facilities and their corre-lation with population distribution can provide a scientific basis for building a suitable urban public service system for children's needs.Taking the built-up areas of Changsha city as examples, this study uses POI and community population data to explore the spatial pattern characteristics of facilities from two aspects:density and distribution direction. It reveals the correlation between facilities and population distribution through a multidimensional analysis framework. The main conclusions are as follows.(1)Children's public service facilities are mainly concentrated in areas with high levels of economic development and dense population, showing a distribution pattern of"high center low edge and high east low west",which is highly consistent with the urban rail transit network and forms a"T"pattern.(2)Various facilities and population distribution exhibit significant clustering characteristics, with educa-tion and growth facilities having the highest clustering degree, followed by safety and health facilities, and leisure and recreation facilities having the lowest clustering degree.Different scale spatial analysis shows that the peak dis-tance of educational growth facilities is the largest, while safety and health facilities are the smallest.(3)Children's public service facilities and residential areas exhibit significant proximity in spatial distribution, and facility layout has a guiding effect on the spatial layout of surrounding residential areas, especially with educational and growth fa-cilities closest to residential areas. In contrast, more residential areas are close to leisure and recreational facilities.(4)The accessibility of different facilities varies significantly within the region, with an overall distribution of high and low accessibility values.Education and growth facilities have the highest accessibility and uniform distribution, while leisure and recreation facilities have the lowest accessibility and show a decreasing structure from the center to the periphery.(5)The spatial inequality of facility distribution is significant, with Gini coefficients exceeding 0.5.Safety and health facilities have the highest imbalance, while education and growth facilities are relatively the most balanced.
