There are few research results on structural equation modeling in public space evaluation,and whether structural equation modeling can be used in the quantitative evaluation of aesthetics in urban public space needs to be empirically studied.The aesthetic quantitative evaluation of local landmark public spaces in three cities at different latitudes in China is carried out.The evaluation results prove that the structural equation model can gen-uinely reflect the aesthetic characteristics of urban public spaces through data in the quantitative evaluation of urban public spaces,which confirms the reasonableness,scientificity,practicability,and ease of operation of the quanti-tative evaluation of the aesthetics method.
