Elastic Buckling of the Double Modulus Beam with Circular Section under Axial Compression
The elastic buckling of the double modulus beam with circular section was studied.Considering the influence of the axial pressure on the neutral axis position,the neutral axis position of the beam was determined by the axial static balance equation and the bending differential equation,and the buckling load formula of the double modulus beam was obtained.The results show that the axial pressure will shift the neutral axial tension area of the double modulus beam with circular section,and the offset will change the buckling load.The influence of the neu-tral axis shift can be ignored in the actual calculation,and the buckling load of the double modulus beam with cir-cular section is not sensitive to the change of the elastic modulus of tension and compression.
