On the Localization Development of Chinese Language Education in Georgia
Georgia encourages diversified foreign language education,and Chinese language education has been included in its national education system,but the level of its localization is still low.The process of integrating Chinese language education into the national education system in the basic education stage is relatively slow,and the degree of localization is low in terms of the teaching scale,the teaching mode,Chinese teachers,teaching re-sources,etc;while the localization level of Chinese language education in higher education is relatively high,with the teaching scale constantly expanding and the localization level of teaching resources rapidly improving,but the independence of disciplines is poor.Moreover,Chinese language education in vocational education has not yet be-gun;while government agencies,academic institutions,and companies have made significant achievements in the development of local teaching resources,whereas the Chinese language training industry has just begun.In the fu-ture,Georgia should further highlight the characteristics and advantages of Chinese language education in the com-petition of foreign language education,improve the Chinese education system and clarify the work priorities at dif-ferent stages of education,establish a systematic and multi-channel local teacher training system,as well as strengthen cooperation with China and develop standardized and diversified local teaching resources.
