The Regional Market Integration and Digital Transformation of Enterprises
Regional market integration,as a key link in building a unified national market,is a favorable guarantee for efficient information circulation and effective resource allocation, and plays an important supporting role in promoting the digital transformation of enterprises.Research based on the"soft information-hard information"analysis framework indicates that regional market integration will promote digital transformation of enterprises. This conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests and endogeneity treatments such as variable replacement;Mechanism analysis shows that regional market integration can break through the bottleneck of soft and hard information, and promote digital transformation of enterprises through digital knowledge acquisition and external financing support channels. The results of heterogeneity testing indicate that the impact of regional market integration on digital transformation of enterprises varies at the regional industry enterprise level. The promotion effect is more pronounced in the eastern coastal areas and areas with relatively complete infrastructure,in highly competitive and capital intensive industries, and in proactive transformation and smaller enterprises.
