Narrowing the Urban-rural Gap with New Productive Forces:Value Implications,Practical Difficulties and Promotion Strategies
The urban-rural gap is a microcosm of the problem of imbalanced and insufficient development in China, and narrowing the urban-rural gap is a reflection of the value of common prosperity. From the perspective of new quality productive forces, the urban-rural gap is not only manifested at the specific level of labor, income, distribution, but also involves multiple dimensions such as institutional mechanisms, technological innovation, and factor allocation.Narrowing the urban-rural gap faces multiple challenges such as cognitive shortcomings, technological shocks, environmental changes, and policy deficiencies.Based on the logical framework of developing new quality productive forces in the digital era, this paper analyzes the causes of urban-rural disparities under the new development pattern, and finds that new production factors such as data and technology"disrupt"the supply-demand balance, affecting factor circulation and resource sharing between urban and rural areas and regions.Focusing on"narrowing the urban-rural gap"and promoting common prosperity requires active exploration from multiple aspects such as improving the comprehensive literacy of workers, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of labor materials, connecting the orderly flow of labor objects, and promoting the optimization and improvement of production relations. The aim is to provide more"fresh samples"for enriching the theory and practice of new quality productive forces while proposing specific measures.
