Influence of axial compressive load on the permeability of cemented sand and gravel materials
As a new type of environmentally friendly building material, cemented sand and gravel is subjected to various loads in its actual service state. In order to study the effect of axial load on the permeability of cemented sand and gravel, four kinds of combinations commonly used in engineering are selected.Axial compressive loading test, penetration test, ultrasonic velocity monitoring test, and nuclear magnetic resonance test were carried out.According to the experimental data, the effects of different axial compressive loads on the permeability of cemented sand and gravel were analyzed respectively, and the following conclusions were drawn. The permeability coefficient and porosity of the specimen are positively correlated with the axial compressive load level. The permeability coefficient and porosity obey an exponential function relation. The regression model of pore size distribution can be well applied to the prediction of the permeability coefficient of cemented sand and gravel.
