Experimental study on flexural performance of steel fiber reinforced concrete with fine aggregates-steel composite slabs
Steel fiber reinforced concrete with fine aggregates(SFRC-FA)is a kind of high-performance concrete material with excellent mechanical properties and good working performance. In order to solve the crack disease of orthotropic steel deck pavement, four groups of transverse SFRC-FA-steel composite deck slabs with different reinforcement ratio and cover thickness were tested, and the load-deflection relations and crack development characteristics of composite slabs were studied. The crack stress, crack width and reinforcement stress were calculated by the equivalent section method to verify the crack resistance of the composite plate. The results show that the 60 mm thickness of SFRC-FA pavement presents the failure mode of multi-crack under the condition of small reinforcement ratio(2.6%)and the thickness of protective layer(15 mm)lower than the requirements of the design code. The new composite slab can meet the requirements of the design code and the engineering applications, which has higher ductility and higher cracking stress.
