lnvestigation on mechanical properties of coral seawater concrete in triaxial compression
In order to study the triaxial compressive mechanical properties of coral seawater concrete,24 specimens were fabricated for conventional triaxial tests. The damage morphology of the specimens and obtained their stress-strain full process curves were observed. The results showed that the damage pattern changed from vertical splitting to oblique shear and transverse fracture with the increase of the circumferential pressure. The slope of the rising section of the stress-strain curve increased, the peak point increased and the falling section after the peak point leveled off.The peak stress, peak strain, elastic modulus and energy dissipation increased, while the ductility coefficient increased and then decreased and finally stabilized. The lateral circumferential pressure could delay the appearance of the initial damage and reduce the rate and degree of damage development.
