Based on the water-saturation softening test, the mechanical properties and deformation characteristics of self-compacting sand lean concrete in desert under different mixing ratios were tested and studied. The results showed as follow:(1)After saturated softening, the compressive strength decreases by from 30%to 40%,and the elastic modulus decreases from 12%to 29%.Compared with the traditional compaction soil, the strength and stiffness parameters of saturated soil still remain at a higher level.(2)With the increase of cement content, the axial strain corresponding to the peak stress increases slightly, indicating that the ductility increases.(3)The ground collapse of Shahu 750 kV substation was treated by grouting with self-compacting desert sand lean concrete, and the field test was successful.
