Experimental investigation on chloride diffusivity of silica fume concrete
The effects of water to binder ratio, silica fume content, aggregate content and curing age on the chloride diffusivity of concrete were systematically investigated by electric accelerated test.It was found that among the influencing factors on chloride diffusivity, the content of silica fume and water to binder ratio have the greatest impact, and greatly decrease with the addition of silica fume and decrease of water to binder ratio.According to the decreasing rate of silica fume content toward to chloride diffusivity, the appropriate content can reach 15%.The chloride diffusivity decreased linearly with the increase of aggregate content. The reduction effect of chloride diffusivity of silica fume concrete induced by curing age mainly occurred within 120 days.
