Experimental study on chloride migration in mortar phase of concrete for metro tunnel segment under the coexistence of stray current and salt solution
The influences of the coexistence of stray current and salt solution on the chloride migration in mortar phase of concrete for metro tunnel segment were studied through laboratory experiment. The specimens were immersed in salt solution,a mixture of chloride and sulfate, and the DC stray current was applied. Then the distribution of chloride ions in mortar was obtained after the conditioning. The experimental results show that the chloride content in mortar is roughly exponentially distributed along the direction of penetration.Under DC electric field, the migration rate of chloride ions in mortar is significantly accelerated, and the chloride content at each depth in mortar is significantly increased. The maximum chloride content in mortar immersed in compound salt solution is always lower than that immersed in single chloride solution, and the existence of sulfate has a certain inhibitory effect on the migration of chloride ion.
