Limestone powder can be mixed into concrete as fine powder of manufactured sand or mineral admixture,however,the two different mixing ways have different effects on the mix design and performance of concrete.According to the practical application requirements of concrete for a bridge,the feasibility of using limestone powder as the mineral admixture to prepare concrete with manufactured sand for caps,retaining walls and towers were analyzed.For this purpose,the workability,compressive strength and chloride transport coefficient of concrete with various amounts of limestone powder were measured.Results show that the compressive strength of concrete with manufactured sand show a downward trend with the increase of stone powder content,whereas the negative impact of stone powder on strength can be compensated by reducing the water-binder ratio.The stone powder increases the chloride transport coefficient of C30 concrete while showing little influence on that of C50 concrete.It is preliminarily inferred that stone powder can be used as mineral admixture for different types of manufactured sand concrete.The effect of larger amount of stone powder on the durability of concrete with manufactured sand needs further investigation.
