Wide application of desert sand concrete(DSC)could provide good economical and environmental benefits. In order to investigate the performance deterioration of DSC after high temperature, ultrasonic testing, axial compressive strength test and SEM analysis were performed. The effects of desert sand replacement rate(DSRR),temperature and cooling method on the ultrasonic velocity, axial compressive strength and microstructure of DSC were investigated. The test results showed that when DSRR was equal to 40%,the mass loss rate of DSC reached the minimum value, the attenuation of ultrasonic velocity was the lowest and the axial compressive strength was maximum value.Ultrasonic velocity and damage met exponential function relationship with temperature.Fitting relation models between ultrasonic velocity and loss rate of axial compressive strength, damage were established, which provided technical support for the engineering utility of DSC.
