Research on uniaxial mechanical properties and constitutive models of ultra-high performance concrete
In order to study the basic mechanical properties of ultra-high performance concrete(UHPC),the uniaxial tensile and compres-sive properties of UHPC with different design parameters were measured through the optimized dog-bone tensile test, prism compression test and cube compression test. The experimental results show that the tensile strength and deformation capacity of UHPC improve with the increase of steel fiber content.UHPC containing 2.5%steel fiber possesses the characteristics of multiple cracks and strain hardening. When steel fiber content increases from 1.5%to 2.5%,the compressive strength of UHPC improves obviously. However, there is no significant difference in the compressive strength of UHPC with steel fiber content of 2.5%and 3.5%,respectively.Compared with the UHPC cured under standard condition, the tensile strength and compressive strength of the high-temperature steam-cured UHPC are higher.Based on the experi-mental results, the empirical uniaxial tensile constitutive equationof UHPC was proposed. The suggestions for uniaxial compression consti-tutive equation of UHPC were the unknown parameters were calibrated and given by comparing the existing literatures and specifications.
