Experiment study on self-repairing cracks of concrete beams mixed with permeable crystalline materials and nano-silica
In order to study the influence of cementitions capillary crystalline water proofing materials(CCCW)and nano-silica(NS)on the self-repairing performance of reinforced concrete beams, reinforced concrete beams were made by mixing 3%CCCW and 1%NS concrete, and the changes of surface cracks before and after repairing under different prefabricated crack widths and curing conditions,as well as the crack development, failure mode, strain distribution in mid-span section, deflection and ultimate load of the beams after bending were studied. The results show that mixed CCCW and NS and single CCCW can improve the flexural performance and crack self-repairing performance of reinforced concrete beams, and the improvement effect of mixed CCCW and NS is better than that of single CCCW.The self-repairing performance of CCCW and NS reinforced concrete beams is related to the width of prefabricated cracks. The larger the width of prefabricated cracks, the worse the self-repairing effect of beams. The prefabricated cracks larger than 0.3 mm basically have no signs of healing, and the flexural performance has not been obviously repaired and improved. The humid curing environment is beneficial to improve the crack self-repairing performance of reinforced concrete beams mixed with CCCW and NS,but the erosion of chloride ions will reduce the overall flexural performance of reinforced concrete beams.
