With the acceleration of urbanization, architectural design can not be limited to the function and beauty of buildings, but ignore the impact of environment, cost and other aspects. To overcome this challenge, the concept of recycled concrete came into being.Recycled concrete composite insulation blocks can reduce the negative impact on the environment, effectively control the cost of building materials, and improve the efficiency of resource utilization throughout the life cycle.BIM technology provides a strong support for achieving this goal.Due to the flammable phenomenon of the insulation layer of the block sandwich, the basic performance of the block prepared by recycled aggregate and the fire resistance of the block wall were studied, and the 3D modeling was carried out by BIM to carry out technical and economic analysis on the project A using recycled concrete block and the non-used recycled concrete block B in Liaoning Province. The results show that the performance of the blocks prepared with recycled concrete aggregate is better than that of the blocks prepared with recycled brick aggregate, and all meet the block strength requirements of MU4.2.The fire resistance limits of the four types of block walls are greater than 3 h,which are 3.72 h,6.36 h,3.94 h and 4.97 h,respectively. The cost of heat preservation and insulation in Project A accounted for 1.74%of the total project budget, and the cost of heat preservation and insulation in project B accounted for 7.33%of the total project budget,an increase of 321%compared with A.
