Effects of ultrafine mineral powder and ordinary mineral powder on performance of high performance concrete
The effects of the content(0,10%,20%,30%,40%,50%)of ordinary mineral powder and ultrafine mineral powder on the slump,slump-flow,compressive strength, flexural strength, frost resistance, chloride ion penetration resistance, and early cracking resistance of high performance concrete(HPC)were investigated. The results show that, with the increase of the content of ordinary mineral powder, the slump of HPC first increases, then decreases, and further increases, the slump-flow basically increases. With the increase of the content of ultrafine mineral powder, the slump of HPC first increases, then decreases, and further increases, the slump-flow first increases and then decreases. The workability of HPC with ultrafine mineral powder is basically lower than that of HPC with ordinary mineral powder. The incorporation of ordinary mineral powder and ultrafine mineral powder both improve the 28 d compressive strength of HPC specimens, and with the increase of the content, the 28 d compressive strength of HPC specimens basically shows the trend of first increasing and then decreasing. When the content is 20%or 30%,the incorporation of ordinary mineral powder and ultrafine mineral powder both improve the 28 d flexural strength, frost resistance, chlorine ion penetration resistance and early cracking resistance of HPC specimens. In general, the improvement effect of appropriate content of ultrafine mineral powder on the performance of HPC is better than that of ordinary mineral powder.
